SPP COVID-19 Response Update - April 23, 2020
SPP stakeholders –
It has now been more than a month since SPP took our first steps in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic. What began with restrictions on travel and access to our facilities soon evolved to physical distancing of staff, health screenings and a transition of all stakeholder meetings to web and teleconferences. Looking back, it’s hard to believe so much has changed in just a few short weeks, but we’re proud to note that its impact to the service we’re able to provide you, our customers, has been minimal.
We’re just a few days away from the first meetings of our Regional State Committee and Board of Directors and Members Committee since the pandemic began. These meetings have always been central to our business model, where ideas from across our stakeholder body are considered and voted on by representatives of our industry as well as group of diverse and independent board directors. Though we won’t be meeting in person, we look forward to the same degree of robust discussion and consensus as always. If you haven’t already, you can register for these and other meetings at www.spp.org/events.
Our system remains reliable, our lines of communication remain open, and we’re thankful we can still report that there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our staff. If you have questions about SPP’s pandemic response efforts, you can always find our latest updates at www.spp.org/covid-19, or you can contact your customer relations representative or email communication@spp.org.
