Load Forecasting Task Force

Load Forecasting Task Force

The Load Forecasting Task Force (LFTF) shall assess SPP’s regional load forecast construct and anticipated challenges resulting from current processes, practices, assumptions, and evolving demand behaviors. LFTF shall provide guidance, prioritization, and policy recommendations needed to increase assurance that the best practices in load forecasting are implemented such that SPP can continuously and cost-effectively utilize the load forecasts required for different modeling needs. This includes, but is not limited to, SPP Transmission Planning and Resource Adequacy processes. The LFTF shall address recommendations regarding load of the future, demand electrification, and other applicable topics from the Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) and initiatives identified in the SPP Roadmap.
