In response to FERC's order on SPP's RTO filing and other Board of Directors action regarding Entergy's RTO/Transco partnership proposal, the RTO Working Group (RTOWG) was created to develop and recommend to the Board of Directors organizational documents necessary for SPP to receive FERC recognition as a RTO pursuant to their Order No. 2000 and the order on SPP's initial filing. During this process, the RTOWG was also to act as the 'policy team' directed to be formed by the Board of Directors to develop necessary modifications to SPP's documents to include a transco under the SPP RTO as conceptually proposed by Entergy.
