Emergency Communications User Forum
The Emergency Communications User Forum (ECUF) is responsible for providing feedback to identify, enhance, and prioritize energy emergency communications needs for SPP stakeholders.
The ECUF:
- Solicits feedback from SPP stakeholders to help SPP identify and manage energy emergency communication training and material needs for operations, markets, communications and government affairs personnel among SPP stakeholders.
- Provides a forum for discussion of emergency communication issues that impact SPP and its stakeholders, and best practices for collaborative communication during energy emergency events.
- Advises SPP staff on the content, format and frequency of communication during emergency events. SPP will use the recommendations of the ECUF to ensure that all members, receive timely and accurate market information regarding commercial operations market rules and system changes
- Reviews and provides input on the development, implementation, management, and maintenance of emergency communication materials and activities for SPP stakeholders.
- Reviews and provides input on relevant, stakeholder-impacting portions of SPP’s emergency communications plan.
- Provides general assistance to SPP stakeholders in their efforts to coordinate communication with SPP, each other, regulators, public officials and end-users during emergency events.
The ECUF is an open forum to all stakeholders having interest in, and expertise related to, the ECUF’s purpose and scope of activities.
