Scheduling Task Force

The Security Working Group formed the Scheduling Task Force (STF). The STF was created to review the proposal to have SPP act as a scheduling agent by defining how it would be accomplished, what are the benefits and the costs to the membership and to what extent is it needed to implement the FERC order requiring simultaneously provision of losses. The factors responsible for SWG requesting this review included whether SPP acting as the scheduling entity for regional tariff transactions addresses scheduling issues with some of the first tier control areas, whether WR will continue to act as a scheduling agent for across transactions, and a response to a regulatory mandate from FERC that the SPP regional tariff accommodate the simultaneous self provision of losses.
